Junior Data Analyst

About the role

DECTA, a global payment‑processing FinTech, is expanding its data analytics team and is looking for a proactive Junior Data Analyst. You will support and maintain the existing reporting ecosystem, troubleshoot data anomalies and help document data architecture while working alongside experienced analysts on enterprise‑grade data structures.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain current BI dashboards, operational spreadsheets and automated reporting workflows.
• Document data lineage across systems and assist with data reconciliation to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare ad‑hoc reports and data extracts based on team requests.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of deviations and support operational tasks.
• Identify and propose new analysis and reporting opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align reports with business needs.
• Assess effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and gathering techniques.

Required profile

• Confident user of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Basic understanding of SQL.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle repetitive, large‑volume data tasks.
• Analytical and curious mindset, able to spot trends and ask “why”.
• Familiarity with payments or FinTech is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of Latvian, English and Russian languages.
