About the role

The Infrastructure and Household Goods Category Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of material categories, from procurement to disposal, ensuring efficient use of resources for Riga Transport.

Key responsibilities

• Manage infrastructure and household goods categories, plan budgets, and define turnover processes.
• Develop relationships with manufacturers and suppliers, analyse market offers, create technical specifications and evaluate price proposals.
• Lead procurement, production, repair and renewal projects, set critical stock levels and monitor contract compliance.
• Ensure accurate material accounting, inventory control and reporting.
• Organise and coordinate the work of subordinate staff, promoting high quality and effective collaboration.

Required profile

• Academic or secondary professional higher education in social sciences, transport services, logistics, business or engineering/technology.
• Proficiency in Latvian (C level) and English (C level) for communication with foreign partners.
• Up to three years of experience in infrastructure, construction, household goods or technical material category management, procurement or material support.
• Strong analytical ability to assess consumption, stock levels, costs and supplier offers.
• Capability to plan purchases, maintain stock availability, coordinate projects and meet contract deadlines.
• Competence with MS Office applications.
