Head of Accounting

About the role

CryptoProcessing by Coinspaid, a stablecoin payment provider with over 11 years of experience and a remote-first team of 110+ professionals, is looking for a Head of Accounting to lead its accounting function. The role ensures accurate financial records, timely reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements, with a focus on managing accounting operations, leading the teams, automating processes and improving efficiency. The position is fully remote; in Latvia only a B2B contract arrangement is offered.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing
• Prepare financial statements in line with IFRS and local accounting standards
• Oversee tax accounting and ensure compliance with regulations
• Manage account reconciliations, bank balances and settlements with counterparties
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors and regulatory authorities
• Develop accounting policies, internal controls and procedures
• Drive optimisation and automation of accounting processes
• Lead the accounting team, delegate tasks and monitor performance
• Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Legal, Compliance and Operations teams

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
• 7+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Experience with international companies and multiple legal entities
• Solid understanding of tax regulations and audit procedures
• Upper-intermediate English or higher
• Nice to have: FinTech, payments, banking or crypto experience, and accounting for cryptocurrency and payment transactions

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting
• ERP systems and accounting process automation
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA or CIMA are a plus
