Go Application Architect

About the role

Intetics is looking for a senior Go Application Architect to design and guide the development of scalable, fault‑tolerant microservice systems. You will translate ambiguous business needs into robust technical solutions while mentoring engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and document clear technical architectures, including API contracts (REST/gRPC) and data storage strategies.
• Design distributed, event‑driven systems using message brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS, ensuring scalability and observability.
• Evaluate trade‑offs between performance, complexity, consistency and availability, and justify decisions to stakeholders.
• Produce architecture documentation (ADRs, diagrams) and guide teams on Go best practices without formal management.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software development experience, with 4‑5 years of production‑level Go development.
• Strong background in fintech, banking, or other high‑compliance domains and experience with AI integration.
• Proven ability to design high‑load, microservice‑based systems and conduct architecture reviews.

Required skills

• Go (goroutines, channels, context, concurrency patterns)
• REST and gRPC API design with versioning
• Relational databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL
• Message brokers: Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS
• Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
• CI/CD tools: GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, ClickHouse) and caching (Redis)
