Global HSE Director – Riga, Latvia

About the role

The Global HSE Director leads Aerones' worldwide health, safety and environmental system for field operations. Based in Riga, the role is highly visible in the field, working directly with crews, managers and technicians to embed safety into daily wind‑turbine work.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the global HSE framework across all service lines and regions.
• Establish safety standards, drive compliance and ensure they are embedded on every turbine.
• Lead incident investigations, analyse trends and turn data into preventive actions.
• Partner with Field Service Managers, Crew Managers and technicians to make safety a lived habit.
• Provide clear, actionable guidance that translates technical requirements into everyday practice.

• Systems‑thinking mindset that sees safety as integral to operational excellence.
• Data‑driven approach with comfort in metrics, trend analysis and prioritising interventions.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical safety requirements clearly.
• Ability to influence without formal authority across multiple regions.
• Proven experience building a prevention‑oriented safety culture in high‑risk or industrial environments.
