General Manager - Custody & Compliance

About the role

GoMining is seeking a General Manager to own the Custody & Compliance business line, responsible for strategy, product, operations and P&L. You will lead the end‑to‑end delivery of custody infrastructure, KYC/AML, fraud controls and customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategy, roadmap and budget for custody, compliance and money‑movement services.
• Own the engineering team, set priorities, manage backlog and ensure timely releases.
• Build and optimise financial and operational models, track key metrics for deposits, withdrawals, KYC and fraud.
• Manage relationships with custody, KYC, AML and infrastructure providers, negotiate terms and drive integrations.
• Develop scalable compliance operations, including case management, SLAs and escalation processes.
• Implement fraud‑prevention guardrails, monitor loss and false‑positive rates, and improve detection models.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience in crypto custody, payments or KYC/AML within exchanges, wallets or crypto‑banking platforms.
• Proven track record of owning product and operational processes at scale.
• Ability to balance risk controls with conversion, revenue and customer experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex technical projects.

Required skills

• Experience with crypto custody platforms such as Fireblocks, Copper, BitGo or Uphold.
• Deep knowledge of KYC, AML, Travel Rule and transaction monitoring.
• Data‑driven approach to fraud detection and risk management.
• Technical literacy to work directly with engineers.
