Data Engineer – Products & Systems

About the role

Join Luminor’s Retail Products & Systems team as a Data Engineer. You will help build the data foundations for one of the bank’s largest migration programs, working closely with product owners, business analysts, and technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data solutions for migration and analytics initiatives.
• Assemble, transform, and integrate large, complex datasets from multiple source systems while ensuring data quality and reliability.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation to increase scalability and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into high‑quality data solutions.
• Troubleshoot data‑related issues, perform data validation, and support platform stability and performance.
• Provide reliable data extracts and trusted datasets for reporting and analytical needs.
• Drive continuous improvements in data quality, monitoring, and engineering best practices.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or a similar data‑focused role.
• Strong SQL skills and experience designing and developing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Pentaho, Talend, SAP Data Services, or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and integration principles.
• Proficiency with Git, DevOps practices, and production deployment.
• Knowledge of Python, PowerShell, Bash, or comparable scripting languages.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and data platform troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
