About the role

Orkla Latvija is seeking an Occupational Safety Specialist to ensure a safe, health‑friendly work environment that complies with all regulatory requirements. You will coordinate safety and fire‑protection processes, maintain documentation, and support colleagues on safety matters.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain occupational safety documentation.
• Participate in risk assessments and create action plans.
• Coordinate and monitor fire‑safety compliance across the plant.
• Manage training schedules, conduct safety training for employees, and track deadlines.
• Take part in safety tours of all company units.
• Organise mandatory annual health checks and other health‑promotion activities.
• Provide daily support to the Safety Manager and staff on safety issues.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an occupational safety specialist.
• Higher education in occupational safety.
• Fluent in Latvian and English.
• High attention to detail in document preparation.
• Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to creatively summarise safety instructions.
