Customs Clearance Broker

About the role

FedEx is looking for a Clearance Broker to join its Customs Clearance team. In this role you will ensure shipments meet all customer and regulatory requirements while maintaining accurate documentation and timely processing.

Key responsibilities

• Review shipment data to determine exact customer and regulatory requirements.
• Use internal systems to create accurate, legally compliant clearance declarations.
• Contact customers or government agencies to clarify information when needed.
• Resolve routine customer and customs disputes.
• Build effective relationships with customers and advise on suitable clearance services.
• Work within tight time frames in a busy office environment.

Required profile

• Strong team‑working skills and experience contributing to performance in a busy office.
• Knowledge of import/export processes, key clearance principles and regulatory requirements; familiarity with CHIEF entries and commercial flight processing is a plus.
• Customer‑focused with excellent communication abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to make sound numerical decisions under deadlines.
• Analytical and problem‑solving mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
