Credit Risk Analyst

About the role

Mintos is seeking a motivated Credit Risk Analyst to join its Risk team in Riga. The analyst will support the evaluation and monitoring of lending companies, helping to ensure the stability and transparency of the marketplace as the company pursues a banking licence.

Key responsibilities

• Support due‑diligence on loan originators worldwide by performing initial financial and portfolio performance analysis.
• Conduct regular monitoring of existing clients, identify early‑warning signals and assess risk factors.
• Gather customer due‑diligence information across business channels and assist ongoing monitoring.
• Prepare initial credit and financial analyses of lending companies.
• Execute credit‑risk processes, including prospectus updates and ad‑hoc analyses.
• Explore business practices beyond Latvia in regions such as Europe, Asia, Africa and Central America.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in financial analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Team‑player attitude with a willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis.
