Cloudflare Developer (Platform Engineer)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cloudflare Developer (Platform Engineer) to join a high‑profile global client in the pharmaceutical sector. The role focuses on building, optimizing, and scaling edge‑native solutions on the Cloudflare Developer Platform, including Workers and AI capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain solutions using Cloudflare Workers and the Cloudflare Developer Platform.
• Develop and deploy edge‑native applications with high performance, security, and scalability.
• Implement and optimise Cloudflare AI tools such as Workers AI, AI Gateway, and Vectorize.
• Integrate Cloudflare services with existing enterprise systems and cloud platforms.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, best practices, and platform standards.
• Troubleshoot, optimise, and harden production workloads.
• Collaborate closely with client engineering, security, and platform teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers as the team scales.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with the Cloudflare Developer Platform.
• Proven expertise with Cloudflare Workers.
• Strong understanding of edge computing and serverless architectures.
• Experience building APIs, event‑driven services, and distributed systems.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills.
• Familiarity with security, performance optimisation, and observability at the edge.
• Experience in enterprise or regulated environments is a strong plus.
• Excellent English communication (B2 level or higher).
