Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

About the role

We are a fast‑growing fintech company seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead our financial strategy and oversee the EMI licence application. The CFO will shape a robust financial structure while ensuring strict regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the financial workstream of the EMI licence application.
• Prepare and defend financial forecasts, budgets, capital and liquidity plans, and stress‑scenario analyses.
• Coordinate financial submissions and communication with regulators, auditors and advisors.
• Oversee financial management, internal controls, approval processes and policies.
• Manage accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management and management reporting.
• Monitor capital adequacy, liquidity, protection and regulatory reporting.
• Support senior management on pricing, unit economics, cost control, financing and commercial priorities.
• Develop the finance team, systems and external partnerships.

Required profile

• 5+ years in senior finance leadership, including CFO‑level responsibility in an EU‑regulated financial institution.
• Hands‑on experience with EMI, payment‑institution or bank licence applications.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting, capital adequacy, liquidity and financial risk management.
• Proven track record in accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, audit and management reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field.
• Fluent in English and Russian; experience in the fintech sector.
