Android Software Engineer – Mobile Banking

About the role

Join Luminor as an Android Software Engineer to build secure, customer‑focused card solutions for our mobile banking app. You will work with modern Android technologies to deliver scalable, reliable digital banking experiences across the Pan‑Baltic region.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and integrate card features in the new Android banking app while ensuring security and compliance.
• Design, develop, and maintain a modular Android architecture.
• Ship new features, debug issues, and write unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Maintain app performance, security, and scalability.
• Create and maintain technical documentation following best practices.

Required profile

• Proven track record of developing and deploying Android applications.
• Advanced knowledge of Kotlin and Android frameworks.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose, Hilt DI, navigation components, and modular design.
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Strong understanding of secure data handling and Google’s guidelines.
• Fluent English for Pan‑Baltic collaboration.
• Nice‑to‑have experience in payments/FinTech, PCI DSS compliance, backend development (Java, Ruby on Rails), or regulated banking environments.
