Accountant – Finance & Control (Permanent)

About the role

Join the Finance & Control department of Circle K Business Centre in Riga and become part of a global finance organization. You will be responsible for the full accounting and financial reporting cycle for Circle K’s European operations.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to queries from site managers, business unit representatives and external partners.
• Check, prepare and process journal entries based on information received.
• Answer inquiries from other company units regarding processed financial records.
• Perform periodic closing procedures and balance‑sheet account reconciliation, resolving discrepancies.
• Reconcile stock accounts and investigate category discrepancies.
• Prepare invoices for franchises and handle audit requests.
• Execute and document process controls related to financial compliance.
• Contribute to process‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Degree in accounting, economics or finance.
• Previous experience in accounting, finance or audit.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and willingness to learn new systems.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Analytical mindset and ability to investigate discrepancies.
• Fluent English for communication with European colleagues.
