Senior Data Scientist (Remote – Latvia)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join EPAM’s AI/ML practice. The role is based in Latvia, offering the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the country or from our Riga office. You will design, develop and operationalize advanced machine‑learning solutions for a portfolio of global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to architect and deploy AI/ML‑driven solutions.
• Translate complex business problems into actionable data‑science strategies.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to deliver measurable outcomes and maintain high‑quality production pipelines.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging trends and technologies in data science and artificial intelligence.

Required profile

• 5+ years of proven production experience in data science or machine learning.
• Strong communication skills, able to present technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Fluent English (B2+).

Required skills

• Deep‑learning frameworks: PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Python ecosystem: pandas, scikit‑learn, NumPy.
• Expertise in at least one domain such as NLP, computer vision, time‑series analysis, recommendation systems or MLOps.
