SAP MDG Technical Architect – Material Master Data

About the role

We are looking for an SAP MDG Technical Architect / SME to design and deliver a robust Material Master Data solution. You will translate functional requirements into technical designs, ensure data governance, and support testing and integration across SAP and non‑SAP landscapes.

Key responsibilities

• Convert functional material master requirements into SAP MDG technical designs and assess feasibility.
• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of SAP MDG solutions for Material Master Data, including workflow and BRF+ rule design.
• Implement create/change/extend change request processes with audit controls.
• Architect and build integrations between SAP MDG and SAP/non‑SAP systems using APIs, IDocs, and web services.
• Ensure solution stability, scalability, and a clean‑core approach with minimal customization.
• Support testing execution, defect triage, and technical issue resolution.
• Define and enforce data governance, security, and compliance controls.
• Implement and monitor data quality rules and analytics to improve accuracy.
• Collaborate with functional SMEs, run alignment workshops, and guide design authority decisions.

Required profile

• 2+ years of SAP MDG experience in the Material Master domain.
• 2+ years of Master Data Management experience covering governance and quality processes.
• Proven technical leadership in design authority discussions and stakeholder advisory.
• Strong project delivery skills across solution implementation and testing.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1) and effective communication skills.
