Lead Security Engineer (Cryptography and Threat Modeling)

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Security Engineer to own the creation of a cryptographic inventory across our product portfolio and ensure FIPS 140-3 compliance. You will partner with security and product engineering teams to drive threat modeling workshops and deliver actionable reports.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive crypto inventory for all relevant products, leveraging tools such as IBM QSE.
• Identify, assess, and track FIPS 140-3 findings, coordinating mitigation plans with engineering teams.
• Facilitate application threat‑modeling workshops for cloud applications and produce clear, actionable reports.
• Contribute to Secure Development and Operations Lifecycle (SDOL) initiatives as needed.
• Provide handover documentation and knowledge transfer to the Security Team.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in software security, delivering end‑to‑end security initiatives.
• Proven ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive topics to completion.
• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Required skills

• Cryptography and FIPS 140‑3 compliance.
• IBM QSE (or similar cryptographic validation tools).
• Agentic AI experience.
• Jira for task and project tracking.
