Senior Software Engineer (Data Platform)

About the role

Join Luminor as a Senior Software Engineer focused on building the bank’s core data platform. You will design, develop and operate high‑performance data ingestion, processing, storage and sharing systems that support critical banking processes across the Pan‑Baltic region.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve data ingestion, processing, storage and sharing pipelines.
• Build and optimise scalable, reliable data architectures.
• Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using modern frameworks and tools.
• Ensure seamless integration and data synchronisation across domains.
• Maintain high standards of data quality, security, availability and performance.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
• Perform code reviews, troubleshoot issues and implement monitoring and alerting for data workflows.

Required profile

• Proven experience with SQL and Python.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Strong understanding of streaming pipelines (Kafka, Spark, Flink).
• Familiarity with data‑pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt).
• Fluent English for communication across the Pan‑Baltic region.
