Engineering Manager

About the role

Edurio is scaling its education‑technology platform and needs an Engineering Manager to lead a growing development team. You will own the team’s commitments, processes and delivery while still writing code alongside your engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of four developers and a QA engineer, handling performance, growth, wellbeing and hiring.
• Participate actively in coding as a player‑coach, reviewing designs and ensuring standards are met.
• Own release planning, work estimation and adjust plans when unexpected issues arise.
• Run the team’s rhythm – stand‑ups, planning, demos and retrospectives.
• Coordinate closely with product to deliver releases that can be explained to clients.
• Communicate technical incidents, security concerns and constraints to non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams that use coding agents or AI‑assisted development.
• Strong people‑management skills: accountability, wellbeing, performance conversations and hiring.
• Ability to define and teach development processes rather than inherit them.
• Comfort explaining delivery risks and trade‑offs to non‑technical audiences.
