Senior Consultant in Audit

About the role

EY is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Assurance team, helping clients navigate complex financial environments and build trust in capital markets. You will work across industries and borders, contributing to audit engagements that address risk, sustainability, and regulatory challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Complete audit processes and document higher‑risk areas such as financial instruments, income taxes, asset impairments, and provisions.
• Collaborate with the engagement team to plan objectives, develop audit strategies, and ensure compliance with professional standards.
• Direct field work, manage engagement economics, and keep supervisors informed of audit status.
• Monitor team progress against the audit plan and adjust as needed.
• Supervise and develop junior staff by delegating tasks and providing guidance.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with audit client personnel, assess client satisfaction, and maintain ongoing contact throughout the year.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant audit experience.
• Thorough knowledge of current auditing techniques and the full audit lifecycle.
• Experience applying IFRS and local GAAP.
• Proven track record of leading, planning, executing, and reporting audits.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and collaborative skills.
• Understanding of risk‑based auditing, risk and control strategies, and Q&RM procedures.
• Compliance with regulatory requirements.
