Senior Consultant – Commercial & Financial Due Diligence

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant to join EY-Parthenon’s Strategy and Execution team. The role focuses on Commercial Due Diligence, Financial Due Diligence and strategic advisory, helping clients evaluate market opportunities, competitive dynamics and financial performance for investment decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commercial and financial due diligence projects for M&A transactions.
• Analyse financial statements, cash flows and operational metrics to assess target company health and risks.
• Conduct in‑depth market research to evaluate industry trends, competitive positioning and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with clients to understand strategic objectives and deliver tailored recommendations.
• Work with cross‑functional teams including tax, legal and operational experts.
• Develop financial models to evaluate strategic options and support analysis.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports and presentations highlighting insights, risks and recommendations.
• Mentor junior team members and ensure adherence to EY quality standards.
• Stay up‑to‑date with market developments, regulatory changes and best practices.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in transaction advisory, management consulting, M&A, investment banking or private equity.
• Advanced understanding of accounting and financial statements.
• Fluent in Latvian.
