QA Lead – Core Ledger Platform

About the role

We are seeking an experienced QA Lead to own quality assurance for our Core Ledger platform. Although the ledger systems are delivered by external suppliers, you will define the test strategy, execute verification and regression testing, and ensure nothing goes live without meeting our strict requirements. This hands‑on position is part of a small, newly established team and focuses on personal execution rather than managing direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the overall test strategy for functional, regression, integration, and acceptance testing of supplier deliveries.
• Build and maintain test plans, test cases, and automated regression suites.
• Collaborate with the Head of Core Ledger IT, specialists, and product managers to embed quality from requirements through delivery approval.
• Verify ledger transaction flows, balance calculations, and reconciliation logic delivered by suppliers.
• Drive a quality‑first mindset in requirements writing and ensure testability.
• Investigate, triage, and coordinate defect resolution with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Define and track quality metrics, report on test coverage, defect trends, and delivery readiness.
• Participate in go/no‑go decisions for supplier deliveries based on quality criteria.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in QA roles, including leading test strategy for complex systems.
• Proven ability to verify and accept deliveries from external vendors.
• Strong understanding of financial systems, ledger transactions, and reconciliation processes (preferred).
• Detail‑oriented, methodical, and comfortable working in high‑stakes financial contexts.
