Pre‑sale Engineer / System Architect

About the role

Comino designs and manufactures liquid‑cooled GPU servers, AI workstations and HPC clusters. As a Pre‑sale Engineer / System Architect you will define the technical solution for every deal, turning customer workloads into correct, buildable and proven configurations while acting as the technical authority throughout the sales cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical side of the sales cycle: qualify requirements, size the system and produce the configuration and specification for each quotation.
• Design multi‑GPU server, workstation and cluster configurations, including GPU/CPU selection, PCIe topology, memory, storage, networking (InfiniBand/Ethernet) and power‑cooling envelope.
• Serve as the technical voice with customers: answer written questions, run technical calls and defend configurations to customer engineers.
• Direct the remote validation team: define test scope, review results and decide if a configuration is safe to offer.
• Collaborate with vendors (NVIDIA, AMD, component and motherboard manufacturers) on compatibility, qualification and roadmap issues.
• Track new hardware generations and translate changes into sales and product guidance.

Required profile

• Deep, up‑to‑date knowledge of modern server hardware and system architecture, especially multi‑GPU platforms.
• Ability to translate AI training, inference, rendering or simulation workloads into concrete configurations and defend them.
• Strong technical English, both written and spoken, with customer‑facing experience.
• Comfortable working on Linux and able to specify and critically evaluate test results.
