Network Engineer

About the role

Redwire Corporation is looking for a Network Engineer to join its IT team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining a reliable, secure and high‑performance network infrastructure that supports the company’s global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and administer routing, switching and firewall environments.
• Monitor network performance, ensure high availability and conduct Layer‑3 troubleshooting.
• Maintain cloud and hybrid connectivity, including Azure networking.
• Ensure network security, access control and compliance with standards.
• Document network architecture, standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on radio links, GCS systems, Starlink deployments and custom network builds.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on networking/infrastructure experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication skills for interacting with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• TCP/IP and OSI model fundamentals.
• Routing and switching concepts (VLANs, OSPF, BGP).
• Firewall configuration and management.
• Cloud networking with Microsoft Azure.
• Networking certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+ (preferred).
• Knowledge of Zero Trust Network (ZTN) architecture and SD‑WAN (advantage).
