Lead AWS DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead AWS DevOps Engineer to drive automation, scalability, and reliability across our large‑scale enterprise environment. You will collaborate with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to modernize our cloud platform and CI/CD processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure delivery.
• Develop and manage AWS cloud solutions focused on automation, security, and high availability.
• Oversee infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
• Automate workflows with Bash, Python, Shell scripting, and related tools.
• Maintain source control and support build/release pipelines using Git, GitLab, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, and AWS CodeDeploy.
• Partner with development and infrastructure teams to define best practices for deployment, monitoring, and reliability.
• Lead initiatives for tooling improvements, platform upgrades, and DevOps maturity.
• Ensure AWS environments comply with security best practices, including IAM roles and security groups.
• Provide networking support across AWS and on‑premises environments and troubleshoot operational issues.

Required profile

• 7+ years of hands‑on experience with AWS DevOps practices.
• Proven track record designing and operating CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong background in infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems and networking fundamentals.
• Ability to work remotely across Latvia and collaborate with on‑site teams in Riga.
