IT Service Desk Specialist

About the role

Omniva is seeking an IT Service Desk Specialist to join its Technology team in Latvia. You will be the first point of contact for employees across the Baltics, ensuring smooth daily operations by resolving IT issues and managing user access.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line IT support for applications, systems, and workplace equipment.
• Log, prioritize, and follow up on incoming support tickets.
• Troubleshoot and offer work‑arounds, escalating complex cases to specialised teams.
• Monitor applications, run basic database queries and analyse logs to identify problems.
• Manage user accounts, access rights, system settings and application configurations.
• Install, test, and maintain software and hardware, and keep inventory records.
• Collaborate with product, infrastructure, workplace and other IT teams to resolve incidents and improve processes.
• Create and maintain user guides and internal documentation.

Required profile

• Secondary education with a focus on IT or related studies.
• Fluency in Latvian and English, both spoken and written.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Independent, solution‑oriented mindset with attention to detail.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
