About the role
As a Salesforce Developer at GoCardless you will own the integrity of the solutions you design, act as a trusted advisor to internal customers and help shape a new Salesforce Development team that accelerates cross‑functional changes across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with commercial, operational, and business analyst teams to validate requirements, consider security, scalability and limits, and deliver changes across Sales Cloud, Revenue Cloud and Data Cloud.
- Enhance integrations by using Salesforce APIs to connect with systems such as DocuSign, Qualtrics, Kernel and marketing tools.
- Follow Salesforce best practices, maintain code documentation and write comprehensive test classes for all custom development.
- Own release cycles, deploy new features and updates, and ensure reliable enhancements using DevOps and quality tooling.
- Help grow knowledge and best practice within the team and the wider business, and support quality‑assurance activities.
Required profile
- 3+ years of Salesforce development experience with strong Sales Cloud and CPQ or Revenue Cloud knowledge.
- Relevant Salesforce certifications (e.g., Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer II, JavaScript Developer I) and a degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Proactive attitude toward code and configuration improvements, ability to analyse business processes and write/interpret technical specifications.
- Self‑starter who can lead projects or delivery work streams and communicate solutions effectively to stakeholders.
Required skills
- Apex, SOQL, VisualForce, Java and Lightning components.
- Salesforce CPQ / Revenue Cloud product catalogue, pricing strategies, product and pricing rules.
- Full‑stack Sales Cloud configuration and custom coding.
- Experience with Salesforce APIs, bulk data handling and integration with external applications.
