About the role
The IT Administrator will lead and improve internal IT processes and systems, ensuring reliable and efficient support across all business units and project sites. This position blends strategic IT management with hands‑on technical coordination and infrastructure project oversight.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Technical Director in implementing and maintaining the company’s IT development plans and procedures.
- Provide daily IT support and consultancy to all employees and teams.
- Manage procurement, installation, inventory, and annual audit of IT equipment and software licences across all locations.
- Install, configure and maintain hardware, software and firmware.
- Oversee issuance of work devices and manage system access rights for staff.
- Maintain cloud and local backup solutions and control user access permissions.
- Install and maintain internal video‑surveillance, security and access‑control systems, coordinating with external providers when needed.
- Ensure IT security and compliance with NIS2, ISO and ITIL best‑practice standards.
- Assess internal software/hardware needs and work with Procurement to propose cost‑effective solutions.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in internal IT support, system administration or software engineering.
- Strong knowledge of IT standards, cybersecurity and data‑protection requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and system specifications.
- English (B2+) and excellent Latvian language skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly to project sites.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project demands, with excellent prioritisation and planning abilities.
- Good understanding of occupational health and safety regulations.
- Valid Category B driver’s licence.
