Full-stack Developer – Ruby on Rails & React

About the role

We are building a new Online Product Development team in Riga to create customer‑facing digital platforms for subscription management, billing, and self‑service. As one of the first engineers, you will shape the architecture, mentor teammates, and drive technical decisions while collaborating closely with a Swiss‑based Product Owner.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails, React and modern frontend technologies.
• Contribute to the transition toward TypeScript‑based applications, potentially using Angular.
• Deliver backlog items end‑to‑end with focus on quality, maintainability and performance.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with QA and product stakeholders during sprint refinement and planning.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, Docker environments and application monitoring.
• Investigate and resolve production issues and perform routine maintenance.

Required profile

• Strong full‑stack engineering expertise.
• Experience mentoring junior developers and leading technical decisions.
• Ability to coordinate delivery across a near‑shore team.
• Proactive attitude toward quality and performance.
