Data Steward (Regulatory Reporting)

About the role
As a Data Steward in the Regulatory Reporting area you will support data governance, data quality and regulatory compliance for a range of reporting needs, from local Baltic submissions to European frameworks such as EBA and ECB. You will work closely with business, data and IT stakeholders to resolve data quality issues, maintain the business glossary and implement effective data quality controls.
Key responsibilities
- Gather, structure and analyse business data use cases to build a deep understanding of data sources, definitions and relationships.
- Develop and maintain end‑to‑end data quality activities, including assessments, root‑cause analysis and ongoing monitoring.
- Contribute to logical data model development and maintain metadata, data definitions, rules and data dictionaries.
- Implement data governance processes, standards and procedures within the assigned domain.
- Represent data management requirements in IT and business projects and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
Required profile
- Educational background in Economics, Business Management, Finance, IT or a related field.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in data governance or data management and 1 year in banking or finance.
- Strong problem‑solving mindset, attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Fluent English (spoken and written) for Pan‑Baltic collaboration.
Required skills
- SQL – ability to work with large data sets and detect quality issues.
- Understanding of data warehousing, reporting concepts and data profiling techniques.
- Experience with MS Office and project‑management tools such as Atlassian JIRA and Confluence.
- Hands‑on experience with Tableau or PowerBI, Cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake) and ETL or data‑governance tools.
- Knowledge of data modelling and metadata management.
What we offer
- Gross salary ranging from 2,750 EUR to 4,130 EUR per month, based on experience.
- Flexible working hours, remote work and the possibility to work from anywhere in the EU, Iceland, Switzerland or the UK (up to 90 days per year).
