Consultant - Transaction Diligence (Financial Due Diligence)

About the role

EY is looking for a Consultant for its Strategy and Transactions team in Riga, with a primary focus on Financial Due Diligence. You will support clients in making informed decisions when buying, investing in or growing businesses, combining financial analysis with broader commercial and strategic insights.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, forecasts and key financial drivers to assess the financial health of target companies
• Support financial modelling and valuation analysis, and identify financial risks, trends and potential deal issues
• Support commercial due diligence for M&A and strategic initiatives
• Carry out market and industry research, including competitor and customer analysis
• Work with clients to understand their strategic objectives and develop recommendations
• Prepare clear, structured reports and presentations for clients
• Work with cross-functional teams and use EY's AI-powered tools and data platforms

Required profile

• University degree (or final-year student) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
• Previous experience in finance or analytical roles is an advantage
• Fluent Latvian and English

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong grasp of using AI tools for research and analysis
