Back-End Engineer – Node.js & TypeScript

About the role

Ubiquiti is looking for a senior Back‑End Engineer to shape the architecture of its cloud‑connected services. You will lead discussions on design decisions, review code, and ensure the delivery of secure, scalable APIs used by millions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architecture and code‑decision discussions, defining branch/merge strategies and deployment pipelines.
• Design, implement, and document developer‑friendly APIs that are secure and scalable.
• Participate actively in all projects, contributing ideas and solutions across teams.
• Maintain high‑quality code standards and stay current with emerging technologies.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• 5+ years of experience working with SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of web security (OWASP, OAuth, browser security model).
• Fluent in English and Latvian.
