AI Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an AI Engineer to help shape AI‑powered experiences for the insurance market. You will join either the Data Discovery & Experience team or the API Platform team, working on APIs, MCPs and data products that create value for developers, employees, partners and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable platform capabilities using modern AI technologies, APIs and data products.
• Improve discovery, understanding and usage of APIs, MCPs and data products across the organisation.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, engineers and business stakeholders to turn AI opportunities into practical solutions.
• Apply platform engineering and product thinking to solve real business problems while ensuring secure, open‑standard access.
• Contribute to AI literacy and AI‑enabled ways of working throughout the company.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Data & Analytics or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of software engineering experience and 1‑2 years of hands‑on AI engineering in production.
• Experience in a regulated industry such as insurance, banking, finance or healthcare.
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to work in an agile, fast‑evolving environment.

Required skills

• Programming languages: C#, TypeScript, Python.
• Cloud‑native development on Microsoft Azure.
• AI technologies: Large Language Models, prompt engineering, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, vector search, embeddings, semantic search.
• Agent frameworks such as LangGraph, Pydantic AI or Microsoft Agent Framework.
• API platforms, secure integration standards and data‑product concepts.
