Accountant - Accounting and Finance Operations

About the role

EY is hiring an Accountant for its Global Compliance and Reporting (GCR) team in Riga. You will be a key part of the team's work on financial integrity, providing accounting solutions and helping businesses meet their regulatory and compliance obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Post transactions, maintain accounting records, process and issue invoices, manage bank accounts and prepare payroll calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Carry out account reconciliations to check accuracy and spot discrepancies.
• Help prepare financial statements and reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing.
• Work with senior colleagues and team members to deliver accurate, timely financial reporting.

Required profile

• A graduate degree, or a student studying economics, finance, accounting or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in Latvian and English, as the team works with international clients.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Motivation to learn and develop, and a willingness to be a team player.

Salary: EUR 1,415-1,500 gross. The position is listed as hybrid (#LI-Hybrid).
