Therapy Area Lead – Oncology (Baltic)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Therapeutic Area Lead to head the Oncology Medical Advisor team across Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. In this senior medical affairs position you will provide scientific leadership, shape local oncology strategy and ensure compliance with global and regional priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Oncology Medical Advisors across the Baltic countries, managing up to five direct reports.
• Define and execute the local Medical Affairs Oncology strategy, aligning with global objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee post‑licensure research, publication plans, investigator‑initiated studies and knowledge‑transfer activities.
• Collaborate with internal functions such as Real‑World Evidence, Regulatory Affairs, Policy, Global Medical Scientific Affairs and Commercial teams.
• Support external engagement with scientific leaders, professional societies, healthcare institutions, government and payer stakeholders.
• Drive scientific insight generation to inform strategic decisions and contribute to reimbursement, regulatory and tender submissions.
• Ensure a culture of quality, accountability and compliance throughout the regional Medical Affairs organization.

Required profile

• Proven experience in therapeutic area leadership within oncology.
• Strong scientific and medical expertise with the ability to translate insights into strategy.
• Demonstrated capability to manage, mentor and develop high‑performing teams.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional partners and external stakeholders.
