Medical Advisor

About the role

The Medical Advisor will provide scientific and medical leadership for Swixx Biopharma and its partner companies across Latvia. The role supports strategy, clinical development, reimbursement, KOL engagement and patient‑focused initiatives while ensuring compliance with national and EU regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the country medical plan aligned with global strategy and partner agreements.
• Support medical activities, providing insights to marketing, business development and cross‑functional teams.
• Maintain relationships with hospitals, professional associations and patient advocacy groups.
• Plan, design and manage medical advisory boards and gather insights.
• Review and approve promotional and non‑promotional materials.
• Act as the country medical information function, handling inquiries and ensuring quality documentation.
• Provide medical support to the commercial team in line with local regulations.
• Define medical resource needs and contribute to budget planning and training programs.

Required profile

• Medical degree (M.D.) or pharmacy/life‑sciences degree with relevant medical affairs experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in medical, clinical, regulatory or pharmacovigilance roles within the pharma industry.
• In‑depth knowledge of the Latvian healthcare system and customer needs.
• Fluent in Latvian and English, both written and spoken.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel for business purposes.
