Technical Project Assistant – Riga, Latvia

About the role

DB Engineering & Consulting is seeking a Technical Project Assistant to support a railway infrastructure design project in the Baltics. Based in Riga, you will work closely with the client and internal teams to ensure project deliverables meet quality and schedule requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, conduct and summarise project status reports and client meetings.
• Manage stakeholder interactions, document control, CDE quality and translation services.
• Coordinate utilities subcontractors and oversee preparation measures.
• Support the Project Manager with internal and external reporting, schedule, risk, quality, commercial and budget control.
• Ensure compliance with local construction laws and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with relevant experience in Latvia.
• Minimum 4 years of project management experience in design or construction, familiar with Latvian construction regulations.
• Fluent in English and Latvian (native); German is a plus.
• Strong organisational, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Extensive experience using ProjectWise.
• Experience with SharePoint.
• Knowledge of Building Information System (BIS) or similar platforms.
