Tax Manager – European Fuel Trading

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead European tax matters for a fuel trading entity within a Fortune 500 organization. The role works closely with trading, finance, and tax teams across multiple jurisdictions, handling both direct and indirect tax issues in a fast‑moving international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary tax contact for European fuel trading operations.
• Provide advice on direct and indirect tax implications of business activities and transactions.
• Oversee VAT compliance processes across multiple jurisdictions.
• Manage Corporate Income Tax calculations, provisions, reporting, and filings.
• Review contracts and initiatives for tax compliance and risk.
• Coordinate transfer pricing documentation, Country‑by‑Country reporting, and other international tax requirements.
• Lead interactions with tax authorities, auditors, external advisors, and service providers.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise stakeholders on tax‑related impacts.
• Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, mitigate risks, and enhance efficiency.
• Partner with global, regional, and local finance teams to ensure compliance with tax policies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate, international, or indirect tax.
• Strong knowledge of VAT and Corporate Income Tax compliance across European jurisdictions.
• Proven ability to manage tax audits and collaborate with external advisors and authorities.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Valid EU/EEA work permit.
