Tax Manager – European Fuel Trading

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our Global Tax Team, supporting European fuel trading activities. The role involves managing direct and indirect tax matters, ensuring compliance, and driving tax optimisation across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Develop tax solutions aligned with Group tax strategies.
• Provide tax advice on fuel trading operations, covering direct and indirect taxes.
• Manage VAT compliance processes and coordinate filings with service providers.
• Oversee Corporate Income Tax calculations, provisions, filings and reporting.
• Review contracts and business projects for tax compliance.
• Monitor tax legislation changes and communicate updates.
• Support Transfer Pricing documentation, CbC reporting and foreign affiliate filings.
• Manage relationships with tax authorities, auditors and external advisors.
• Identify tax risks and opportunities to improve efficiency and processes.
• Support global tax projects ensuring alignment with local requirements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant tax experience.
• Strong knowledge of European direct and indirect taxation.
• Experience in fuel trading, energy, retail or multinational environments is an advantage.
• Fluent English communication skills.
