Software Development Engineer – Payment Intelligence

About the role

Join GoCardless as a Software Development Engineer on the Payment Intelligence team. You will help build data‑driven products that improve payment recovery and fraud prevention, directly contributing to one of the company’s major revenue streams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain services that enhance payment recovery rates for failed Account‑to‑Account payments.
• Improve fraud detection by iterating on machine‑learning models and rule‑based systems.
• Enhance the consumer authentication flow for high‑risk payments.
• Collaborate with product, data and other engineering teams to prototype and launch new features.
• Contribute to the technical vision of the Payment Intelligence platform.
