Senior Project Manager – UAV/Unmanned Aerial Systems

About the role

Redwire Defense Tech is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex projects within the Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) sector. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring innovative UAV solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, allocate resources, and execute projects from initiation to delivery.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, tasks, and required resources.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, track milestones, and report progress.
• Provide direction and support to cross‑functional teams, ensuring on‑time, quality delivery.
• Manage documentation, stakeholder communication, and regular status updates.
• Coordinate technical discussions with customers and follow up on actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams.
• Lead project meetings, facilitate decision‑making, and mitigate risks.
• Track project costs and resources against financial targets.
• Evaluate outcomes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, or a related field (master’s preferred).
• 4+ years of experience in the UAV industry, preferably in project management or senior engineering roles.
• Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver technical projects.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
