Railway Signalling Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Railway Signalling Engineer to support the Rail Baltica project in Latvia. The role involves working on the ETCS construction rollout phase for an electrified, high‑speed railway linking the Baltic States with Central and Western Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review technical documentation, including requirements, specifications, designs and bills of quantities.
• Execute ETCS works during the construction rollout phase.
• Review deliverables from designers, suppliers and consultants.
• Coordinate technical deployment of signalling systems.
• Collaborate with national implementing bodies, project engineers and contractors.
• Participate in project planning and implementation activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, preferably with a railway or IT&T focus.
• 5‑8 years of experience in railway signalling system engineering, design, construction supervision, testing and acceptance.
• Hands‑on ETCS experience on construction rollout projects; design‑only experience is insufficient.
• Experience on multiple ETCS and IXL projects, ideally international.
• Strong understanding of ETCS and IXL operational scenarios and functionality.
• Knowledge of railway engineering processes, CSM‑RA, RAM and Safety & Interoperability (TSI‑CCS).
• Excellent written and spoken English.
