Controller Fuel Stock & Deal Control

About the role

The Fuel Operations Control & Accounting department of the Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia, is part of the Global Finance organization and covers the Circle K European network of terminals and fuel service stations. The company is onboarding new team members to support network expansion in the European market. This is a permanent position based in Riga; a valid EU/EEA work permit is required and relocation assistance is not provided.

Key responsibilities

• Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the fuel value chain
• Control and report stock movements and balances for your portfolio in the ERP system
• Control and investigate fuel shrinkage, such as fuel losses or gains
• Identify, analyse and resolve discrepancies related to fuel stock for your portfolio
• Maintain documentation and records linked to control functions to support the audit trail
• Work with Business Unit operations, technical services and other stakeholders
• Take part in fuel business projects and improvement initiatives, including UAT and system upgrades

Required profile

• Higher education in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field
• Experience in accounting, finance or inventory/stock control is an advantage
• Fluency in English, as the role involves daily contact with internal and external stakeholders across markets
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesise complex issues
• An improvement-driven, collaborative team-player attitude

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard Office tools
• Knowledge of accounting systems is an advantage
