Payroll Manager

About the role

Paybis is seeking a Payroll Manager to take full ownership of payroll for its Latvian entity and oversee outsourced payroll in the UK and Poland. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will standardise processes and build a scalable payroll function as the company expands globally.

Key responsibilities

• Execute end‑to‑end payroll processing for the Latvia entity and supervise outsourced UK and Poland payrolls.
• Manage the global B2B/contractor payment cycle, including crypto (USDT) settlements.
• Ensure accurate, on‑time payroll runs and compliance with Latvian labour law, tax, and social security requirements.
• Review and quality‑check payroll calculations from external providers.
• Collaborate with Legal, HR, and Finance on employment terms, cross‑border classification, cost accounting, and GL reconciliation.
• Own the payroll system/HRIS selection, implementation, and administration.
• Administer payroll‑linked benefits and maintain data privacy in line with GDPR.

Required profile

• Proven payroll management experience across multiple countries.
• Hands‑on experience with both employee payroll and B2B/contractor payment structures.
• Comfortable reviewing work of outsourced payroll providers.
• Fluent in English and Latvian.
• High ownership and autonomy as an individual contributor.
