Payroll Accountant

About the role

The Finance & Control department of Circle K Business Centre in Riga is looking for a Payroll Accountant to join its global finance team. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for the European operations while supporting employees and contributing to continuous improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and control payroll data flow, inputs and outputs to guarantee accurate and on‑time payments.
• Support employees with salary‑related questions and provide guidance.
• Prepare financial and operational payroll reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure payroll costs are correctly booked on GL accounts and that related accounts are fully reconciled.
• Participate in payroll‑related projects, system testing and collaboration with IT to improve processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Previous experience in payroll or payroll accounting.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Fluency in English for communication across Europe.
• Good computer skills, especially MS Office; experience with WorkDay or SAP is a plus.
• Analytical mindset and strong attention to detail.
