Nordic Category Manager – Riga Airport

About the role

We are looking for a Nordic Category Manager to lead the launch of Avolta’s travel retail and food‑and‑beverage operation at Riga Airport. The role will shape category strategy, drive sales and profitability, and ensure an exceptional guest experience across the new Latvian outlet.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business goals.
• Analyse sales, margin and market trends to optimise assortment.
• Manage product lifecycle, merchandising plans and promotional activities.
• Lead supplier negotiations and monitor vendor performance.
• Track category KPIs and prepare regular management reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in category management, merchandising or retail buying.
• Strong commercial and analytical acumen.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Data analysis.
• Experience with retail/category management systems.
