MLRO – Money Laundering Reporting Officer

About the role

This is a unique opportunity to lead the compliance strategy of a fast‑growing crypto payments ecosystem. As the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) you will design and implement the company’s AML/CFT framework, ensuring full compliance with EU and local regulations while acting as the main liaison with regulators.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and continuous improvement of the AML/CFT system, policies, procedures and internal controls in line with EU and local requirements.
• Serve as the primary contact point for AML/CFT matters with regulatory authorities.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, audits and monitoring to identify gaps and drive corrective actions.
• Design and deliver training programmes to raise staff awareness of AML/CFT obligations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed AML/CFT controls into business processes and operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in AML/CFT, compliance or risk management within a regulated financial services or crypto‑asset environment.
• Proven experience acting as an MLRO in a regulated institution.
• Hands‑on experience with the Latvian Central Bank on AML/CFT matters.
• Involvement in MiCA licensing processes.
• Extensive use of blockchain analytics and transaction‑monitoring tools.
• Deep knowledge of EU AML/CFT regulations.
• Fluent in English and Latvian.
