About the role

You will be responsible for managing both creditor and debtor accounting, ensuring accurate processing of invoices and settlements to support IKEA Latvia's business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain creditor and debtor ledgers.
• Check, register and process incoming and outgoing invoices.
• Record and control settlements with suppliers and customers.
• Monitor debtor balances and perform debt control.
• Reconcile creditor balances and intercompany statements.
• Prepare accounting data for month‑end closing and reporting.
• Collaborate with colleagues, suppliers and customers on accounting matters.
• Stay updated on Latvian accounting regulations and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Education in finance or accounting.
• Previous accounting experience, preferably in accounts payable/receivable.
• Good knowledge of Latvian accounting principles and related regulations.
• Strong attention to detail, responsibility and ability to meet deadlines.
• Analytical thinking and independent problem‑solving skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
• Proficiency in Latvian and English.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel.
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
