Java Software Engineer – Procurement IT

About the role

Swedbank Procurement IT is seeking a Java Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain intelligent, scalable solutions for its procurement applications and integration platforms. You will work in a data‑driven, fast‑evolving environment, collaborating with architects and product owners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java‑based procurement applications and integration solutions.
• Design, implement, and support REST APIs, event‑driven architectures, and message‑broker integrations.
• Collaborate with architects and cross‑functional teams on solution design and implementation decisions.
• Support business stakeholders in balancing new feature development with maintenance and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from analysis to deployment and support.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise integration and application performance across environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of hands‑on Java software engineering experience.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
• Experience working with international teams.
