Head of Tax

About the role

The Customization Group is seeking a Head of Tax to own and develop the group-wide tax function from the ground up. Based in Riga, you will work closely with the Head of Finance and act as the primary tax liaison for internal teams, external advisors, auditors, and tax authorities worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for group tax compliance, leveraging automation and AI to streamline processes.
• Serve as the first point of contact for internal stakeholders, external tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities on a global scale.
• Design, implement, and maintain a robust tax compliance system with transparent procedures.
• Structure and document transfer‑pricing arrangements and tax reporting under IFRS and German GAAP.
• Partner with finance on restructuring, M&A, and transformation projects as a strategic tax advisor.

Required profile

• Degree in economics or law with a focus on taxation.
• Several years of experience in tax law, preferably with leadership responsibilities in a multinational environment or tax consultancy/audit firm.
• Strong knowledge of national and international tax legislation, transfer pricing, and tax accounting.
• Proficiency with IFRS and German GAAP reporting standards.
• Enthusiasm for AI‑driven tools and process automation.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
